Complete with original metal case in unusually good condition with magnifier and loop at top. Barely any rubbing and discolouration to the outside of the case which inside is brighter silver. Contains more than 5,000 words, sentences and idiomatic phrases. Considering the size of the print, it is unexpectably readable with the magnifier. This famous publishing firm was started in 1832 in Glasgow, Scotland and went into miniature books from 1876 until 1913, when it permanently closed down. Although thousands of these dictionaries were issued, according to Bondy, they are now becoming quite scarce and are much rarer than the Smallest English Dictionary in the World.
