Horsey, S., 43 Queen Street, Portsea. 1849. 99 printed pages.  On the final page (99), the text states that this is the ninth edition; the text was reset from the first edition but is the same except for the final paragraph of the book that adds a little more about the marine salvage perdormed under the command of General Pasley. The book has wood salvaged from the Mary Rose as front and back covers and a label pasted onto the front paste-down endpaper states , "The wood from which the covers of this book are made was purchased Nov 12, 1840 at Mr Dean's public sale of articles recovered by him from the Mary Rose.  A certificate of which may be seen on application to the publisher. The public may confide on its being a genuine relic of that unfortunate ship". Original blue endpapers with paper label certifying originality of origin of boards on front free paste-down endpaper. 54 x 90mm. Original navy blue calf spine with gilt lettering. Original boards from wood salvaged from 16th century wreck. Welsh, 5215. OCLC, 560487673.
