Dee, London, 1875/6. 61mm long excluding chains meeting on a suspension ring. 7 double pages with stamps, transfer days at the bank, calendar, table of Kings and Queens, the Cabinet and the Court. Contemporary pencil owner's signature on front free endpaper. Provenance: Poppy Strachey. 18 x 60mm. Contemporary blue silk covered. Slightly fraying at edges, with some slight edge wear. A similar example of this book can be found in Her Majesty Queen Mary's Dolls' House at Windsor Castle. Bondy, 39-41 & 164. Not in Spielmann, nor Welsh, but see 4679 for larger sized edition. WorldCat locates an 1866 edition at the British Library, but it may not be this uncommon size.
