In 1976, with his wife Angela, he established Britain's first residential photography workshop, The Photographer's Place. In 1996, he set up one of the UK's first MAs in Photography. Hill has exhibited internationally and co-authored numerous books. PROVENANCE: Caroline Penn worked as an editorial photographer for many years and then as a picture researcher, before becoming a book artist. Caroline's books are currently housed in private and public collections, including the Artists Book Collection, Tate Britain; the National Art Library, Victoria and Albert Museum; the British Library; Camberwell College of Art Library Artists Book Collection; Winchester School of Art Library Artists Book Collection; and Pages New Voices touring collection supported by Arts Council England.
