The Calculus Affair. Hergé. Methuen & Co. Ltd. London. 1960. >>FIRST ENGLISH EDITION<< Complete with 62 full colour pages, evenly age-toned, and blue endpapers of the Tintin characters. Original printed colour paper-covered boards (some marks, and wear, corners rubbed), with original red paper spine (slightly faded, very slightly worn at head and tail, front hinge split and inner hinge cracked but still firm). The eightteenth volume of The Adventures of Tintin, the comic series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. The story was initially serialised weekly in Belgium's Tintin magazine from October 1956 to January 1958 before being published in a collected volume by Casterman in 1956 in French. One of the best Tintin adventures, in the 1960s this story reflected back on the recent Cold War tensions across the Iron Curtain.
