Contemporary fully hallmarked unusual solid silver plaque pinned over the top of another silver plaque on front cover. A gothic frame or rood screen, over the top of Reynold's Cherubs. Marked for William Comyns, London, 1904. Lacks free endpapers. Rounded corners. All edges gilt over red. Original white endpapers. Contemporary pencil inscription on front paste-down endpaper, dated 1914.  Provenance: Maude Raven from Kings Lynn. 48 x 56mm. Original maroon morocco covers with gilt titling on spine. Welsh, 1856.
